By using this tutorial your image will go from this to this

1. Place the two pictures on a new canvas. Make sure the left picture is overlapping. Click on Raster two layer.
   
2. Where the edge is you want to blend, get the freehand selection tool, select the edge of the picture, and join it up.
   
3. Go to Selections >> Modify >> Feather.
   This box will appear up: x.
   Set the Feather to 64 in this case, however this may differ with different blends. Hit Ok.
   
4. Hit the delete key 14 times. (This will depend with different blends, so hit the delete key until the amount of blending is to your taste).
   
5. Here is the end result with effects: x
